
Community Service Awards
The Cherokee Youth Foundation is proud to host the Impact the Community awards banquet at the end of each year. Teams have the opportunity to celebrate with other players in the Georgia Impact family, cheering and rooting for one another as each are recognized for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. The Foundation also recognizes community leaders who live out our shared commitment to compassion, volunteerism, and generosity. The night is truly an inspiration to youth and adults alike.

Leadership Development Award
Dr. Debra Murdock
Dr. Debra Murdock serves as the Chief School Leadership and Operations Officer at CCSD. In her role, she engages community partners, parents, colleagues, students, and teachers alike. She regularly attends games and fundraisers alongside countywide planning, trainings, and meetings. She is intentional in making genuine connections and models optimism as a leader. Dr. Murdock is a true leader in every sense of the word!
Youth Development
Riley Wildeman
Coach Riley Wildeman wears many hats and you will find him serving his community in many ways. He is a husband, father, coach, advisor, teacher, and youth mentor. His passion for education, soccer, and mentoring have impacted over 250 youth in the Strive for 23 program as he uses soccer as a platform to encourage and motivate them toward educational success. Coach Wildeman has a true servant's heart it shows in every interaction he has with young people!


Academics
Dr. Ashley Polito
Holly Springs Elementary School STEM Academy principal, Ashely Polito, is an exceptional instructional leader. She advocates for students' growth, learning, and success with her belief that every child needs someone who believes in them. She is in the halls and classrooms more than her office and her support even extends outside the school walls. Dr. Polito ensures that children who receive free lunches at school are sent into the weekend with backpacks with food for home and responds to employee's hardships with equal compassion and action. Dr. Polito invests in students and staff with the exact qualities we celebrate!
Shane Moore Award
Wesley Lutz
Ga Impact Soccer Coach Wes Lutz meets everyone on and off the field with a smile and kind word. He is the first to show up and the last to leave. He always asks if there is anything he can do to help. He cares about each and every player and pours into them relentlessly. Coach Wes has demonstrated perseverance and tenacity throughout one of the hardest times of his life. Those who get to call him Coach or Friend are truly blessed. Welcome back Coach!
