What We Do.
Our Vision: A Cherokee County where every child can play the sport they love- no matter their zip code, background, or financial circumstances.

Our Mission: Cherokee Youth Foundation is committed to making soccer more accessible and inclusive for every family in Cherokee County through school- based soccer clubs, investments in equipment and facilities, and emergency support for families facing unexpected challenges.

We Believe: We believe in the power of community to support our neighbors in need.

Get to Know Us.
Cherokee Youth Foundation (CYF) invests in young people, families, and a stronger, more connected community- all through the game of soccer. It all started in 2018, when leaders at Ga Impact Soccer realized that many youths were being left on the sidelines because of financial and transportation barriers. CYF was created to bring soccer to players where they already are- schools. Today, we have partnerships with 10 schools in Cherokee County that give approx. 400 children the opportunity to participate in team sports.
At the middle and high school level, our Stive for 23 clubs give students added motivation to attend school and stay on track to earn 23 credits required to graduate. Many of these students will be the first in their families to graduate high school and/ or attend college.
Over time, the mission evolved to include family support and community strengthening. Six of the partner schools are Title I, serving communities facing significant economic need. The school partnerships give us the ability to meet with school liaisons to identify and collaboratively meet individual and schoolwide needs.
In short, soccer is the tool that we use to make a deeper impact on family resilience, thriving children, and expanding school capacity!

“This program gives my child more than a chance to play—it gives him a team, a purpose, and a place where his abilities shine. It’s more than a sports program. It’s a lifeline for inclusion, confidence, and joy.”
